You know that you and your family are supposed to get 7-10 servings of fruits and vegetables a day but who has the time for that?

Juicing is great for your body if you know what you are doing. Vegetable juices are loaded with nutrients and have very little sugar content. Fruit juices are also loaded with vitamins but everyone should be aware that fruit juices are high in sugar which could cause some insulin issues and higher caloric intake. Here is a great rule to keep in mind when fruit juicing:

RULE – Only juice the amount of fruit that you would eat. For example, most people drink a glass of orange juice and don’t realize a 12 ounce glass of OJ equals about 6 squeezed oranges. You would never eat 6 whole oranges in one sitting.

Three of the healthiest things on the planet to juice are beets, kale and ginger. They are full of vitamins, minerals and healing properties. But they are very hard to digest in their raw form and if you cook them they lose many of their amazing health benefits. Examples:
Kale – You can chew forever and sometimes you still can’t break this Super Green veggie down into a fully digestible form.
Beets – They are hard to digest unless cooked, juiced or diced into super small pieces. I would never eat raw beets if I didn’t juice them.
Ginger – It’s a root vegetable which is so good for you but have you ever tried to break off a piece of ginger and consume it whole?… Almost impossible unless you have a billy goat’s digestive tract.
Many other veggies fall into the category of – You would never try them if they weren’t juiced.

This was my breakfast. It was delicious and charged me up with vitamins and minerals for the entire day. So for breakfast I consumed beets, celery, spinach, kale, ginger, apple and bok choy. All RAW. There is no way on earth I would have… or could have consumed all 8 of these veggies without a juicer. I maybe would have cooked some spinach. Do you see where I’m going with this?…
